I’m Sam. I am a 21year old student at California State University, Sacramento majoring in child development with an emphasis in social and community settings and a minor in counselling.  I have been working with children since the summer I turned 15 and am glad to say that I have known what I wanted to do with my life since I was a sophomore in high school. I recently earned my teaching certificate in early childhood education and cannot wait to start teaching my very own class of preschoolers. I have no children of my own, but I have worked and volunteered  in a wide array of child care centers, including everything from home daycares to private preschools, and after-school programs. My ultimate goal is to earn my Masters in child development and become a counselor for troubled youth and at-risk preschool and school-aged children.
